Duties
Perform a variety of routine, repetitive tasks that require the application of simple work procedures in the engineering field.
Become familiar with appropriate technical manuals and reference materials in the field of engineering technology.
Assist senior personnel on project functions relating to design, construction, inspection, operation of facilities, systems, equipment and devices, etc.
Prepare engineering designs, studies and reports.
Exchange information related to engineering projects with both technical and non-technical personnel.

- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position has Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of up to 5% of the time.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. MINIMUM QUALIFICATION
General Experience: Six months of general experience (1) in any type of work that demonstrates the applicant's ability to perform the work of the position, or (2) experience that provided a familiarity with performing a limited variety of routine, repetitive tasks that require the application of simple work procedures in the engineering field.
OR
Education: One year of post secondary education that included at least 6 semester hours in any combination of courses such as engineering, engineering or industrial technology, construction, physics, drafting, surveying, physical science, or mathematics. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.).
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 6. Then divide your semester hours of education by 30. Add the two percentages.
