About the Position: Provide advice and assistance to the Deputy, and staff on all resource management matters affecting the Agency. Serves as a Financial Management Specialist under the Army Analytics Group.

Duties

Interpret regulations, guidance, policies, directives and instructions Develop implement, maintain, and periodically reviews financial management controls in the areas of responsibility in order to maximize the potential for loss due to fraud, waste, abuse, and mismanagement of government resources. Review and evaluate the effectiveness of agency resource management programs and operations. Take action to remedy problems and looks at ways to improve the organization and operation. Give guidance and direction over operational activities, ensuring that Agency priorities and short- and long-term requirements are met and in compliance with established policies and guidelines. Provide oversight in the development of budget strategies designed to meet the resourcing and budget execution needs. Monitor and coordinate Finance and Accounting operations through GFEBS. Take corrective actions where necessary or resolves the issues to the satisfaction of higher management.

GS-12 Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11) GS-13 Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes monitoring exchange of funds/ and or transfers; participating in the development of financial planning objectives to provide guidance; and reviewing accuracy of accounts in systems such as General Funds Enterprise Business system (GFEBS). This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). GS-13 Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
