You will serve as an Electrical Worker in the Facilities and Project Support Shop 099, Production Resources Department of Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility (PSNS & IMF).

Duties

You will read and interpret blueprints, technical manuals, work instructions, and sources of job-related information. You will prepare reports relative to maintenance records, Condition Reports, shipping and material ordering reports. You will install temporary power up to 460 volts. You will provide temporary lighting systems, heating systems, hook-up motors, welding equipment, and install communications. You will provide support for nuclear refueling jobs and other nuclear related jobs. You will provide freeze prevention services during periods of cold weather.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You must be willing and able to lift and/or carry loads/items up to 60 pounds in weight.
