This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Coast Guard, Coast Guard Academy, Facilities Engineering Branch, Public Works Section, New London, CT.

Duties

You would perform preventive maintenance work during rotating shifts.  Responding to fire alarms, security alarms, and emergencies, such as electrical failures, water leaks, floods, equipment failure, etc.

• Position requires shift work
• Valid State driver's license is required
• Males born after 12/31/1959 must be registered for Selective Service.
• This position requires a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI).

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
