As a National Bank Examiner/Bank Examiner (SSARA Analyst), NB-0570-VI, you will serve as a Supervisory Systems, Strategy, and Resource Allocation (SSARA) Analyst in Midsize and Community Bank Supervision (MCBS), responsible for supporting the process of developing, reviewing, and implementing appropriate risk-based strategy and resource allocation guidance based on a portfolio-wide risk assessment.
MCBS/RRED:
Chicago, IL is the preferred location but may be filled in an alternative location.
Duties
As a National Bank Examiner/Bank Examiner (SSARA Analyst), NB-0570-VI, you will:
Serve as an advisor to SSARA Program Manager, staff, and senior management on supervisory strategy formulation and implementation and resource prioritization and allocation processes across supervision portfolios.
Coordinate resource deployment processes and communications, consider staffing needs and resources on a geographical basis, and promote the allocation of resources in a risk-based and prioritized manner.
Participate in, coordinate or oversee special projects in order to provide expert advice to senior management on a wide variety of issues affecting institution portfolios, OCC policies, and operations.
Plan and conduct strategy development and resource allocation activities with an understanding of the relationship between knowledge/expertise and broader risk issues and strategies.
Monitor and analyze MCBS supervisory strategy development and resource tiering, prioritization, and allocation progress.
Serve as key point of contact, in conjunction with the SSARA Program Manager, to communicate business unit priorities, including supervisory resource and development needs, allocation, and prioritization consistent with the OCC mission, CBS priorities, and principles of supervision by risk.
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements within 30 calendar days after the closing date of this announcement:
You must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the NB-V band level. Examples of specialized experience for this position include:
Developing and reviewing risk-based supervisory strategies (e.g. allocating resources, developing individual bank strategies, prioritizing assignments).
The experience may have been gained in the public sector, private sector, or through volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.
