This position is located at US Mint,San Francisco Mint-MANUFACTURING DEPT/Plant Mgr CA/Product Div/Plant Engineering Section CA. As a Facility Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for providing technical and administrative supervision over the repair and maintenance of equipment, systems, tools or facility structures and fixtures used to support the production of coins at the San Francisco facility. .

Duties

As a Facility Maintenance Supervisor, you will: Be accountable for quantity and quality of the work performed by subordinate employees. Adjust plans, assignments, and methods, as necessary, to reduce or control costs, and accomplish the work of the unit as effectively as possible. Identify and ensure that work unit goals are aligned with United States Mint strategic goals; effectively translate and communicate work unit goals into concrete work assignments for staff. Recruit, select, manage, appraise, and reward employees in a fair and consistent manner. Implement recruitment, retention, and developmental strategies that support the organizational performance objectives and successful socialization of new employees to the United States Mint. Ensure that all systems, programs and processes for which responsible for are covered by internal or management controls and that appropriate precautions are taken to prevent fraud, waste, and misuse of resources in accordance with the Federal Manager's Financial Integrity Act (FMFIA). Perform contractor officer representative (COR) duties, particularly for emergency repair and preventative maintenance contracts, sometimes with original equipment manufacturers.
