Duties

You will serve as an Information Technology Specialist for the Command Officer of MCICOM. You will lead system migration project, collaborate with programmers, business experts and testers to develop comprehensive migration strategies. You will understand configuration management processes and procedures. You will provide policy guidance to IT management, staff, and customers. You will prepare IT budgets and manage IT investment portfolios.

• This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area 802 and 752 Advanced Levels within 12 months of appointment.
• You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
• Generally, current Federal employees applying to GS jobs must serve at least one year at the next lower grade level. All qualifications and pay band requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement and documented in your resume.

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience in project management and foundational principals of the IT process to further the creation of mission critical procedures and IT policies; manage requirements through project completion; work alongside stakeholders to develop requirements, plans, specifications, and statements of work in accordance with command's standards and regulations. Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
