You will serve as a Supply Technician (OA) in the Material Management Division, Customer Support Branch of NAVSUP FLT LOGISTICS CNTR PEARL HARBOR.
Duties
You will monitor and expedite the delivery of supplies, ship repair parts, equipment, and services to meet pre-determined schedules and priority needs.
You will maintain all files and documentation for the procurement action.
You will perform extensive and exhaustive searches of mandatory source contracts and blanket purchase agreements, vendor catalogs, electronic commerce, and other data sources to locate appropriate sources of supply.
You will ascertain material status and maintain up-to-date knowledge of the status of all materials and services that could impact production timelines.

- This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- This is a bargaining unit position.
- This position requires the ability to type at least 40 words per minute. Your response to the typing skill question on the Occupational Questionnaire will be used in your qualification determination.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-05) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector applying standardized supply regulations, policies, procedures and instructions to perform supply support assignments in support of stock level maintenance, material coordination, inventory control and experience utilizing various automated supply management systems such as Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP). Specialized experience may include some or all of the following: 1) Conduct technical research to determine validity of items requested and resolve discrepancies; 2) Provide supply operations support for activities involving specialized or unique supplies, equipment, and parts to include prototypes, technical equipment, or parts and equipment requiring unusual degrees of protection in shipment and storage; 3) Operate an automated supply data base to enter, correct, and retrieve specialized reports; and 4) Apply a body of standardized purchasing regulations, policies, and procedures to make purchases involving commercial requirements.

Education
