About the position: This position will be assigned to the Air Force Recreation Area, FT. Tuthill.
Ability to work uncommon hours to include nights, weekends, and holidays. Must have 6 months experience related to the operation aspect of the hospitality industry.
Duties
Serves as second level supervisor in economic and efficient operation by planning, promoting, organizing, implementing, scheduling day-to-day services. Assist in all aspects of the operational management such as front desk operations and facility management, custodial worker operations, facility maintenance administration and outdoor adventure programs. Will be responsible for subordinate work force management to include supervising and directing paid and non-paid personnel work assignments, leave and work schedules, recruitment and selection of employees, staff training and development, establishment of standards and evaluation of performance, resolving complaints, and undertaking disciplinary actions. Implements higher level directives, ensures compliance with fire, safety and health procedures and instructions. Formulates procedures and programs to ensure high standards of food and beverage, recreational and promotional programs. Sets deadlines and establishes priorities, considering work schedules, methods to be employed, operating policies, personnel and equipment required to accomplish mission. Recommends policy changes to improve quality, efficiency and profitability. Establishes procedures for internal operations ranging from maintenance schedule, cleaning checklists, vehicle operations, inventory control, resale, funds handling, and customer service procedures. Oversees the resale operation including purchasing resale items, inventory and point of sale procedures. Performs periodic inspections of activity to ensure sanitation, maintenance and repair standards are met and maintained. Orders and purchases necessary supplies for the custodial worker staff, facility maintenance, administration and outdoor adventure program. Assists with setting short and long term financial goals. Assists with preparing and reviewing budgets and financial statements, analyzing results and recommending appropriate action to maintain a sound financial condition. Performs various clerical and administrative support duties for Fort Tuthill Off Base Recreation Area. Maintains necessary suspense controls. Use of MS Office software to produce a variety of documents, correspondence, reports and other materials. Performs Records Custodian (RC) function for the work center. Assists in entering invoices into the NAF Resale Inventory System (NAFRIS). Completes the cashier deposit reports and completing Consolidated Cost Center reports. Accomplishes the review and consolidation o of daily activity AF Form 1875's deposits and reports. Assists with the initiations and completion of inputs into daily AF Form 1876's in the Services Agency Information System (SAIS). Assists in ensuring all information is accurate and timely. Assists with payroll duties such as time keeper and makes inputs to SETS time sheets. Performs a variety of general office duties such as receiving telephone calls and visitors, routing and filing correspondence, and maintaining files, such as daily financial paperwork, timecards, daily revenue tracking, charging out and tracking Adventure Program Trips, plus fills out and tracks BPA's, and executes in IBPS receiving actions.

Qualifying Experience:
Responsible knowledge and experience related to the operational management aspect of a recreational and hospitality service.
Experience gained must demonstrate ability or experience to competently and independently carry out projects or programs and to
supervise, train and schedule subordinates. Must have six (6) months experience related to the operation aspect of the hospitality industry, such as prior experience as a hotel front desk clerk. Must have experience in responsible clerical work or office work of any kind in which the applicant demonstrated the ability to perform satisfactorily at the grade level of the position to include Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word and
PowerPoint is required. Must have cash handling experience, good customer service skills are required. In addition to the above
requirements, applicant is required to demonstrate possession of a high degree of proficiency in typing. Must have documented
experience accomplishing employee work schedules and administration of staff timecards.

Education
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution.
FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program.
