About the Position: This is a Lead Budget Analyst position located in Elemendorf, Alaska.

Duties
Perform a wide variety of analytical and administrative duties required as fund control analyst within the 673 MDG, to include planning, developing, formulating, presenting, defending, executing and reviewing annual and multi-year operating programs.
Incumbent is delegated authority for administrative control of funds as necessary to support mission accomplishment.
Develops fund control procedures in all phases of the formulation, programming, planning, and execution phases of the 673 MDG budget.
Receive, distribute and administer funds issued to the Commander/Budget Officer, to include annual funding program, allotments, allowances, obligation authorities, reimbursable, and other fund instruments.
Establish financial management procedures for continual review and surveillance of funds.
Instruct employees in new procedures and provide ongoing guidance for problem/unusual cases.
Review and interpret regulatory criteria as it applies to the work of employees led and answers employees, questions on policies, procedures and directives.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Incumbent must obtain Financial Management Level 2 Certification within 2 years of employment.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes two or more of the following: formulating or executing an organizations budget; reviewing or analyzing budget requests; or providing financial advisory recommendations in accordance with budget policies and regulations. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
