About the Position: This is an Administrative Support Assistant (OA), GS-0303-07 position for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Tulsa District and located in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Independently plans and carries out assignments in accordance with accepted practices and uses judgment in locating and selecting the most appropriate guidelinesfor application.

Duties

Central contact point to provide authoritative explanations of requirements, regulations, and procedures to resolve operating problems or disagreements affecting assigned areas and provides administrative support to the Office Chief. Reviews records of subordinate branch and sections to insure property records are accurate and adequate. Serves as the Training Coordinator for the Division/Office functioning as the sole contact for training activities for assigned employees. Reviews nominations for awards, requests additional information and justifications, and prepares recommendation for approvals. Prepares travel and training requests in the Corps of Engineers Financial Management System (CEFMS). Reviews all written correspondence for completeness, accuracy, proper preparation, and advises appropriate personnel of proper methods to eliminate points of nonconformance.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Temporary Duty Travel (TDY) of 25% or more.
  • A qualified typist is required.

You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Customer Service (Clerical/Technical)Integrity/HonestyManages and Organizes InformationTechnical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
