About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the U.S. Army Intelligence and Security Command 513th Military Intelligence Brigade Invest and Operations.

Duties

Apply new data mining and analysis techniques including data discovery, data preparation, modeling, and visualization through repeatable methods. Create the data architecture with analysis based on sound data and knowledge of information systems and design. Identify requirements for substantial research efforts and provides timely, authoritative, and sound advice on their implementation. Provide management with expert technical guidance and recommendations for achieving the organization’s objectives.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
• In accordance with Change 3 of AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, must successfully pass a urinalysis for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance based on a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) with eligibility for access to sensitive compartmented information (SCI).
• Temporary Duty (TDY) travel may be required 15% or less of the time.
• All INSCOM employees may be subject to extended TDY or worldwide deployments during crisis situations to perform mission essential functions as determined by management.
