Duties
Follows a prescribed training program as outlined by the manufacturer.
Meet DLA regulatory requirement and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards.
Maintains the MHE database for MHE licensing and advises management on program status and requirements.
Drafts written documents regarding training, such as, various reports, official correspondence, memorandums and information papers in conjunction with assigned duties.
Acts as the Medical Surveillance Monitor to ensure all MHE physicals are scheduled with the host clinic.
Maintains updates and uses Impact Monitoring device software provided by the manufacturer.

- Must be able to obtain and maintain a license for all tactical and commercial vehicles within DDRT inventory to which they conduct driver training and evaluation on.
- Must be able to obtain and maintaain a license for stationary and mobile crane operations.
- Required to possess a valid government motor vehicle operator's permit authorizing the operating of vehicles and equipment of the type and capacities determined by the supervisor as necessary for accomplishment of the duties of the position.

Qualifications
Applicants will be rated in accordance with the Office of Personnel Management Qualification Standard for Trades and Labor Occupations. Although a specific length of time and experience is not required, you must meet any screen-out element listed, and show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties at the level for which you are applying. Emphasis is placed on how you gained the quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time, and the required ability or potential to perform the job. Applicants who do not meet the screen-out element (SOE) will be eliminated from further competition.
The SOE and minimum qualifications for this position is:
Instruct other workers on less complex work methods; refer to manuals as a means in answering questions related to the proper identification and examination of materials; adhere to all safety standards.

Physical Effort
The work is primarily sedentary; however, employee is required to operate MHE and UTV, some walking, standing, bending, lifting and carrying of light items, such as paper, files, etc. may be necessary. Moderate physical effort is required in operating vehicles.
Working Conditions
The work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts that require normal safety precautions. Work is performed in an office, classroom, inside warehouses or outdoors in all types of weather conditions when conducting operational instruction or testing. Drives in all types of situations and is exposed to the possibility of serious accidents, such as cuts, bruises and broken bones while instructing or testing new or trainee operators. Exposure to noise, dust, dirt and debris will occur when working in the warehouse or outdoors.
