Duties

Examines, processes, and classifies a limited variety of common, easily recognized equipment, materials, and commodities. Follows established standard procedures for the receipt, identification, examination, processing, and disposition of materials and equipment, and receive assistance from the supervisor in borderline condition determinations. Responsible for the safe and proper operation of machinery and tools used in observing all required operating and safety criteria in regard to the operation of forklifts and related equipment. Operates the metal bailer. Operates forklifts capable of lifting loads weighing up to 10,000 pounds to move, load, unload, stack or unstuck palletized goods, boxes, crafts, merchandise, materials, and supplies from one location to another; drives up to 1 ton motor vehicle.
