This National Guard position is for a RANGE OPERATIONS TECHNICIAN, Position Description Number D2799000 and is part of the PA Training Center, National Guard.

Duties
As a RANGE OPERATIONS TECHNICIAN, GS-0303-07, you will serve as a point of contact for information regarding training center range operations. Ensure that supporting generators and equipment are operational. Conduct range, training land, and facility inspections to identify unsafe conditions. May be required to maintain rosters of personnel with approved or pending security clearances. Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements

- This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard, required prior to the effective date of placement.

- Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership and employment in the National Guard in the military grade listed in this announcement.

This is a Dual Status Excepted Service Technician position in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard.

GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education, or training which provided a general knowledge of principles of organization, management, and administration. Experience using computer and automation systems.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Application must have at least 12 months experience in the interpretation and application of regulations, procedures or laws. Experience that provided a working knowledge of administrative functions. Experience demonstrating the ability to advise lower graded employees. Experience working independently and setting priorities with very little supervisory control.
QUALITY OF EXPERIENCE: Length of time is not of itself qualifying. Candidates' experience should be evaluated on the basis of duties performed rather than strictly on the rank of the individual; however, established compatibility criteria/assignments must be followed. The applicant's record of experience, training, and education must show possession of the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to fully perform the duties of the position to be filled.
