Qualifications
NOTE: You must meet qualification requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
To qualify for the GS-09 level, you must have one of the following:
1 year of full-time* specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-07 level defined as proficiency with software and tools for inputting, analyzing and/or evaluating the quality of large entries of data; analyzing and preparing reports that outline the findings of data analysis.
master's or equivalent graduate degree; or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree; or LL.B. or J.D., if related; the education must provide the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position
equivalent combination of education and experience
To qualify for the GS-11 level, you must have one of the following:
1 year of full-time* specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-09 level defined as analyzing and/or evaluating the quality of large entries of data; preparing reports that outline the findings of data analysis; and communicating data through oral briefings and/or written reports.
PhD. or equivalent doctoral degree; or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree; or LL.M., if related; the education must provide the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position
equivalent combination of education and experience
Your answers to the online assessment will be used to evaluate your competencies in the following areas: 1) Knowledge of various applicable federal environmental statutes and regulations; 2) Ability to obtain and/or compile quantitative date for use by others sufficient to assemble required reports; 3) Skill in applying analytical and evaluative techniques to identify, analyze, and resolve problems for programs and/or organizations; 4) Ability to collaborate with others; 5) Skill in oral communication; 6) Skill in written communication.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
