This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
About the Position: This is a developmental position, GS-09, GS-10, GS-11. Management may hire at any grade level. Management may fill the position at any location listed.
Duties
At the full performance, the incumbent will:
Serve as a senior Quality Assurance Representative (QAR) at the site of construction, monitoring construction activities for assigned projects.
Coordinate with a variety of interested parties, from customers to contractors to local government officials, state and local environmental agencies, etc.
Interpret contract requirements throughout all phases of construction work.
Maintain surveillance of the contractor inspection system for compliance with approved quality control plan.
Make on-the-spot decisions/commitments not affecting basic design/cost to avoid delays in construction projects.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This is a Defense Acquisition Workforce (AWF) position, you must meet the DoDI 5000.66 requirements applicable to the Career Category/Functional Area and the Career Level Certification. Career Level Certification must be met within 3 years.
- Temporary duty (TDY) travel is approximately 10%.
- Incumbent must have or be able to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance.
- This position requires the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a driver's license in one of the 50 US states or possessions and any installation and/or DoD requirement.
- A pre-employment physical is required.
