In this position you will serve as the single point of contact responsible for planning, administering, developing, and evaluating a comprehensive internal training program for all Military, Non-Appropriated Fund (NAF), Appropriated Fund (APF), and volunteer employees assigned to the Force Support Squadron (FSS).

Evaluates and reports to the Squadron Director through the Operations Officer (OPSO) on the effectiveness of training. Consults with managers and supervisors to identify training requirements and ensures higher headquarters directives are fulfilled in the ATP Develops education and training materials and testing procedures. Maintains a collection of training materials and develops, when necessary, educational curricula to meet specific training requirements. Develops and implements testing procedures for required certifications. Conducts training courses. Secures classroom space and announces upcoming classes. Ensures training equipment is operational and supplies are available. Ensures quality training is provided to assigned personnel Manages the Force Support training program. Responsible for administering the training program for military, APF/NAF civilians, and volunteers assigned to the FSS. Uses the most current tracking method or electronic application to maintain accurate records. Works with managers to identify skills, upgrades, and similar development programs that will meet Force Support business management objectives and war readiness capabilities.

In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Clerical and Administration positions located here Education Undergraduate and Graduate Education: Major study -- education or a subject area related to the position to be filled. OR SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower broadband NH-01 or equivalent to the next lower grade GS-04 in the Federal Service. Specialized experiences is experience that demonstrated a practical knowledge of the subject area of the position and of the methods and techniques of instruction. Examples of qualifying specialized experience include: Teaching or instructing in an adult education program, secondary school, college, military installation, or industrial establishment in the appropriate field(s). Supervising or administering a training program. Development or review of training/course materials, aids, devices, etc., and evaluation of training results. Work in the occupation or subject-matter field of the position to be filled that required training or instructing others on a regular basis Knowledge, Skills and Abilities 1. Knowledge of service-based programs and objectives, processes involved in military and civilian training programs, and/or processes relating to training programs in parallel business and industry organizations. 2. Knowledge of the methods, principles, practices, and programs related to curriculum development, instructional techniques, and training resources, as well as the principles, techniques, and objectives of test and measurement. 3. Knowledge of basic budget preparation as it applies to preparing operating and capital expenditure training budgets. 4. Skill in developing course materials and presenting formal and informal courses and briefings 5. Ability to gather, develop, and analyze a variety of data and to make recommendations based on analysis. 6. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
