This position is located in the Mid-Atlantic Region, Fleet and Family Readiness Program, Fleet Readiness Department in the Fitness/Sports Department. The purpose of this position is to provide a variety of support duties to operate fitness, sports, or aquatic facilities as needed. This position is located at the Morale Welfare and Recreation (MWR) Fitness Center on Naval Station Norfolk in Norfolk, Virginia.
Duties
Assist the Fitness Director to plan, arrange and execute activities for military, civilians and family members in the facilities assigned.

Qualifications

Training and education or a minimum of one year of specific experience in a recreation/sports program.
Skill in operation of equipment to line fields, or set up for intramural sporting events.
Must be a mature individual who can exercise control over a large group of people to ensure good order and discipline as necessary.
Must be skilled in customer service.
You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer and part time experience. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
-Position is a non-sensitive position that does not operate a government computer so, employment is conditional on the successful completion of a National Agency Check SF85.
-Must possess and maintain a current driver's license, as us of a government vehicle may be required to and from sporting events fields.
