You will serve as an IT SPECIALIST (DATAMGT) of NAVSUP BUSINESS SYSTEMS CENTER.

Duties

You will serve as a senior Oracle Database Administrator for highly complex and integrated information technology (IT) systems and related projects. * You will be responsible for the implementation and security of new databases and database upgrades. OR: You will serve as a senior Microsoft Database Administrator for highly complex integrated information technology (IT) systems and related projects. * You will be responsible for the implementation and security of new databases and database upgrades. OR: You will serve as a senior Oracle Fusion Middleware Administrator for highly complex and integrated information technology (IT) systems and related projects. You will design, develop, install and implement web infrastructure and troubleshoot communication issues between the other systems and middleware products.

Requirements

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-11) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Designs, normalizes, develops, installs and implements Oracle Database *or* Microsoft Database *or* Oracle Fusion Middleware infrastructure; and troubleshoots communication issues between the other systems and these products; 2) Determining membership rolls, space requirements, data compression, back-up and recovery methodology; 3) Ensuring secured components and access to them by performing Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), resolving vulnerabilities identified by ACAS, patching, upgrading and integrating systems; 4) Knowledge of DOD and NAVSUP BSC standards in regard to configuration and other metadata; 5) Knowledge of Command Process Improvement (CPI) procedures and requirements to ensure administrator tasks are compliant with applicable policies and procedures.
