You will serve as a ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT ASSISTANT in the INTERNATIONAL GRADUATE PROGRAMS OFFICE of NAVAL POSTGRADUATE SCHOOL.
Duties
You will compile written reports to provide status updates.
You will answer administrative related questions to assist staff.
You will resolve office support issues such as procurement of supplies, office equipment maintenance, timekeeping.
You will compose and edit outgoing correspondence to ensure correct content, grammar, and format.
You will service as point of contact and greet all incoming students, guest, and visitors.
Requirements

- This is a bargaining unit position.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
GS-06 Requirements: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Displaying a keen understanding of Naval Postgraduate School (NPS) and International Graduation Program Office (IGPO) missions and functions; 2) Demonstrating ability to use interpersonal skills and negotiation techniques, in addition to communicating effectively in writing and verbally; 3) Automating work processes to support functions and program operations; and 4) Utilizing automated software to prepare a wide variety of administrative documents.
GS-05 Requirements: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:1) Using office automation software to prepare a wide variety of documents; 2) Overseeing all education support agreements with partners in accordance with Department of Defense (DOD) guidelines; 3) Maintaining a tracking system for support agreements to record current processes and agreement statuses; and 4) Monitoring all degrees and certificate program applicants for agreement status.

The GS-06 level does not have education substitution.
GS-05 Level:
In lieu of general/specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
Four (4) years above high school
