Duties

Serves as a Supervisor in the Clothing Initial Issue Point (CIIP) exercising supervisory responsibility for control over work operations. Provides supervision for CIIP Uniform issue and fitting lines. Serves as assessable unit manager. Performs duties including initial fitting and issue of the military clothing to both males and females entering the Army.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • The position requires the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a Tier 1 (NACI) security investigation..
  • The position requires the incumbent to successfully pass a pre-employment and annual physical.
  • This is a supervisory position with a one-year supervisory probationary period requirement. A one-year probationary period is required if the incumbent has not previously met this requirement.
  • The position may require the incumbent to travel (TDY) up to 5% of the time.

Current Civilian Employees of the U.S. Army Sustainment Command, 407th Army Field Support Brigade, Fort Leonard Wood, MO, Logistics Readiness Center, within the local commuting area. Consideration will also be given to current Department of Army Civilian employees with competitive status. Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of an Clothing Fitter Supervisor without more than normal supervision. I have the ability to perform common Clothing Fitter Supervisor duties including supervising workers directly or through subordinate leaders in accomplishing the work of an organizational segment or group. I can establish deadlines, priorities, and work sequences, and planning work assignments based on general work schedules, methods, and policies set by higher level supervisors, investigating work related problems and determining causes. I work under close supervision of a work leader or journey-level employee who observes tasks in progress and upon completion to make sure they are properly performed. - Failure to meet this Screen Out Element will result in an ineligible rating. Ability to Interpret Instructions, Specifications, etc. (Other Than Blueprint Reading)Ability to Lead or SuperviseAbility to Use and Maintain Tools and EquipmentKnowledge of Equipment Assembly, Installation, and Repair, etc.Knowledge of Materials PHYSICAL EFFORT: Work involves frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, carrying and handling of objects weighing 35 to 50 pounds occasionally up to 75 pounds. Work also involves prolonged standing, stooping, kneeling, bending, climbing, and working in tiring and uncomfortable positions. WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is normally inside a large, open, heavily populated building. Shelving is accomplished using motorized forklifts. May be exposed to drafty and hot weather conditions.
