As a supervisor/manager, the selectee for this position will be eligible to receive a Manager Performance Incentive (MPI) provided eligibility requirements noted in agency policy are met. The MPI is an annual lump-sum incentive payment that considers agency performance, the manager's individual performance, and available funding.Serves as Assistant Manager and the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL) and funding expert for Detroit Airports District Office.

Duties

This position reports to the Manager of the Detroit Airports District Office (ADO) and serves as the frontline supervisor for the ADO technical staff, as well as the principal advisor to the ADO Manager. The ADO Assistant Manager is responsible for overseeing and supervising technical operations within the ADO: for DMA ADO, this includes 194 Federally funded airports throughout Michigan and Ohio including 20 Part 139 certified airports.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position, you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower level (FV-I or FG/GS-13) that is typically in or related to the line of work of the position to be filled and which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform in this position.Specialized experience includes:• Experience in leadership and providing direction to others and/or establishing common goals. • Experience promoting teamwork. • Experience in promoting airport safety. • Experience in collaborative analysis of technical information for projects crossing multiple technical and operational disciplines or organizational lines of business. • Experience applying technical guidance in airport layout and design.
