This position is located at Department of Homeland Security (DHS), United States Coast Guard (USCG), Aviation Logistics Center (ALC), Industrial Operations Division (IOD), Industrial Production Branch, Elizabeth City, North Carolina. 

Duties

The role of this position is to supervise workers, either directly or through subordinate leaders, and for related planning, work direction, and administrative matters.Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team.  Typical work assignments include:

Qualifications

Applicants will be evaluated on their ability to perform the duties of the position rather than the length of experience. Eligibility will be determined by the relevance, scope, and quality of all experience and training, regardless of where or how acquired. Applicants will be rated and ranked based on their knowledge of the following job elements:  - Ability to Lead or Supervise. (Screen-out Element)- Knowledge of Equipment, Assembly, Installation, Repair, etc.- Use of Test Equipment: Electronics.- Theory of Electronics.- Ability to use Hand and Power Tools - Electronics.- Troubleshooting (Electronics Equipment).- Ingenuity (Ability to Suggest and Apply New Methods). Qualifying experience encompasses experience directing the work of trades workers, providing administrative and technical supervision, in the Electronics Mechanic trade or other related trades. National Service Experience (i.e., volunteer experience): Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
