About the Position: Serves as a leader of a planning team and is responsible for planning, coordinating, and evaluating all phases of the ammunition and general supply mission to include Demilitarization, Maintenance, and Renovation with the Tooele Army Depot, located in Tooele, Utah.

Duties

Communicates assignments, projects, milestones and deadlines to team members, and assumes overall responsibility for production control planning, projects and operations. Identifies personnel and training requirements that are specialized for unique state of the art maintenance and demilitarization operations. Serves as subject matter expert for ammunition projects and operations and also as contact for all matters pertaining to assigned ammunition programs. Research Depot Maintenance Work Requirements (DMWRs), publications, drawings, safety manuals, Letters of Instruction (LOIs), etc. to determine specific requirements for the type and quantity of workload to be accomplished. Coordinates and completes prior year PRONS (un-liquidated obligations) by end of fiscal year. Forecast program requirements and recommends shifting resources, as appropriate, to support new or redirected program efforts. Develops procedures for implementation of new comprehensive and existing ammunition maintenance and demilitarization concepts throughout the material life cycle. Furnish briefing data and/or briefs on support to new projects or programs and other data, of mutual interest. Coordinates with appropriate organizational and on-depot personnel concerning hazardous materials and waste matters. Responsible for notifying proper authorities of hazardous materials, waste spills or accidents.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must complete a variety of hazardous material classes.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
