THIS IS NOT A REMOTE POSITION. THE DUTY LOCATION IS SEATTLE, WA. About the Position: The incumbent serves as a USACE Project Management System (P2) subject matter expert (SME) and special advisor to a Division providing technical assistance to Program Managers, Project Managers, Program/Budget Analysts, and others, as required, in the development and maintenance of project schedule and budgetary data in Project Management Scheduling Software.

Duties

Work with all Project Managers, Program/Budget Analysts, technical managers, and functional chiefs to ensure that all projects are identified and entered in the APMS/ P2/P3e. Guide APMS Users regarding planning, preparing, and implementing the Project Management Business Processes. Review project progress, measuring performance and recommending necessary corrective actions to maintain agreed upon schedule and cost. Develop local reports, briefings, summary fact sheets, and procedures to facilitate communication of scope schedule and budget status within the PDT and upward reporting of execution status.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience to include: 1) using computer scheduling software (i.e. P2, Primavera, Microsoft Project) to manage, control, coordinate, and execute construction project activities (i.e. scope, schedule, budget); AND 2) utilizing data to prepare reports to identify inconsistencies. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For the GS-12 level, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: CommunicationsLeadershipPlanning and EvaluatingProject Management Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
