This position is located in the Department of Health & Human Services (HHS), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Center for Program Integrity (CPI), Audits & Vulnerabilities Group (AVG), Division of Vulnerability, Innovation & Strategy (DVIS). As a Supervisory Health Insurance Specialist, GS-0107-15, you will serve as the Director of DVIS with overall responsibility to manage an ongoing governance structure that engages leadership and staff across CPI and CMS components.

Duties

Direct the staff in supporting an ongoing governance structure that engages leadership and staff across CPI and CMS components in a meaningful way on Medicare, Medicaid, and Exchange PI related issues Resolve emerging complex issues, advising leadership of potential and emerging problem areas, including the formulation of recommendations for appropriate program responses. Serve as a technical expert and resource to CMS leadership at the Group, Center, and Agency level, as well as other internal and external stakeholders, on issues related vulnerability identification and risk mitigation on PI related issues. Oversee major operational work activities concerning the execution of the AVG PI Strategy, encompassing a combination of vulnerability/risk analysis to prevent current and potential fraud, waste and abuse.

Advise leadership and stakeholders on issues related to vulnerability identification and program risks.
