About the Position: This position is located at Eglin AFB, Florida. The geography and climate are ideal for year round military training. Duties

Provide professional advice and assistance to the Army Support Activity (ASA) staff and supported organizations all matters related to base operations, activities, and services. Uses delegated authority to make decisions and commit the service providers to a course of action on matters within and outside the organization. Perform the full range of supervisory duties; Plans work to be accomplished by subordinates, setting and adjusting short-term priorities, and preparing schedules for completion of work. Participate in top management discussions and decision/policy making forums. Serve as the staff coordinator and synchronizer for Army Support Activity (ASA) operations and activities Directly responsible for the execution and cost accounting of the reimbursement budget in accordance with the Inter-service Support Agreement.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • his position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
  • Financial Disclosure Statement OGE Form 450 is used to assist agencies and employees to avoid conflicts between duties and financial interest. This position requires pre-employment financial disclosure and annually thereafter.
  • Appointment to this position is subject to a two year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315. While probationary the incumbent can be terminated with limited appeal rights.
  • This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 5% of the time.
