You will serve as a SECRETARY (OA) at the Navy Medicine Operational Training Command of NAVMED OPER TRNG CENTER.
Duties
You will requisition office supplies, equipment, and publications..
You will make complete arrangements for large conferences including extensive travel arrangements for participants.
You will use microcomputer and word processing software to create, edit, move, sort, copy, store and print a variety of correspondence and documents.
You will take and transcribe minutes of meetings, correspondence, reports, and telephone conversations involving both technical and specialized medical terminology.
You will plan the work of the office, distribute work, ensure the acceptability of both the quantity and quality of work performed, and perform a range of administrative supervisory functions etc.
Requirements

- This position requires the ability to type at least 40 words per minute. Your response to the typing skill question on the Occupational Questionnaire will be used in your qualification determination.
- A favorable ANACI (Access National Agency check with Inquiries) background investigation is required for a non-critical sensitive position requiring access to network systems.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Using an automated system (e.g., management information system, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access), to extract information;
Assisting with clerical and administrative functions to support the needs of the organization;
Preparing reports and maintaining documents in electronic files for easy retrieval;
Verifying evaluations for accuracy prior to submission to cooperated leveled human resource, {e.g., Bureau of Naval Personnel (BUPERS)}; AND
Reviewing forms and instructions ensuring they are approved and controlled.
