Serves as a Field Maintenace Program (FMP) Engineering Technician assigned to facility improvement projects.

Requirements

• US Citizenship is required.
• Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
• Designated or Random Drug Testing required.
• Valid state driver's license preferred.
• This Level 5 (Moderate Risk; Public Trust) position requires favorable adjudication of a Minimum Background Investigation (MBI) background investigation prior to appointment, unless a waiver is obtained.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position at the FV-F level, you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience with six months being specialized in planning and executing construction projects or performing maintenance and/or repair of existing structures, utilizing accepted trade methods and techniques. Experience in a trade or craft may be credited as specialized experience when the work provided intensive knowledge of engineering and/or construction principles, concepts, practices, techniques, methods, and precedents. Up to six months of the work experience may be general work experience if the work demonstrates your ability to perform the duties of this position.To qualify for this position at the FV-G level, you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the FV-F, FG/GS-9 level. This experience is typically related to the line of work of the position to be filled and which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been at least equivalent to the next lower level in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization.You should include relevant examples of the specialized experience in your work history.
