Duties

Develops Standard Administrative office procedures and record keeping systems for SID, establishes security and accountability measures for sensitive information Maintains and controls access to classified materials and secure communication devices. Assists managers and supervisors, as a Timekeeper, in the monitoring of employee WebTA accounts Performs personnel management liaison functions with the Human Capital office to coordinate staffing and other administrative requirements Monitors, schedules, and coordinates the Stennis employees' completion of annual agency training requirements. Prepares internal reports and documents Provides administrative guidance to staff

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship is Required.
  • Selectee must successfully pass pre-employment requirements prior to appointment.

  • TIME-IN-GRADE REQUIREMENTS: Applicants must meet time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. Applicants must have served 1 year at the next lower grade level or equivalent grade level of federal service to qualify.

Qualifications

To qualify for the Administrative Officer, PG -0341-12/13, you must meet the following requirements: This position is multi-graded career ladder position and will be selected at one or both grade levels. To qualify for the Administrative Officer PG-12 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the PG-11 grade level in the Federal Service. This includes: (1) Assisting in developing administrative processes, deadlines, and planning for the office's budget. (2) Coordinating and maintaining human capital programs, functions, and administrative services for the office. (3) developing statistical and narrative data to evaluate program effectiveness and make recommendations to improve procedures and workflows. To qualify for the Administrative Officer PG-13 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the PG-12 grade level in the Federal Service that includes: (1) Planning, Scheduling, and conducting simultaneous, complex projects designed to improve organizational efficiency; (2) Developing and administering budgets and tracking revenue expenditures, and capital investments (3) Developing reports and spreadsheets using Microsoft Office Applications and software such as Adobe PDF. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Only experience and education obtained by the closing date of this announcement will be considered. All qualification requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement (05/09/2024) to be considered.
