You will serve as a Inventory Management Specialist of NAVSUP FLEET LOGISTICS CENTER JACKSONVILLE.

Duties

You will perform daily physical inventory operations which include planning, coordinating, and evaluating actions required to support specified schedules and missions. You will evaluate the schedule throughout the fiscal year and make recommendations to the supervisor for schedule adjustments based on current requirements, feasibility, and inventory efficiency. You will conduct location surveys by reviewing material in locations and comparing data to ERP stock item data, ensuring location validity. You will perform periodic quality control studies of all logistical supply functions to determine the efficiency and accuracy of operations. You will prepare reports on all studies conducted providing process analysis and recommendations for improvements/ required corrective actions. You will conduct causative research for information pertaining to complex and/or unusual supply transactions and patterns.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-07) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Understanding of governing supply regulations, policies, procedures, and instructions applicable to specific assignments; 2) Conducting physical inventory using inventory accuracy policy, location surveys, and quality procedures to review, evaluate, and improve accountability procedures and inventory record accuracy and auditability; 3) Planning, analyzing, and evaluating the effectiveness of supply programs and the ability to conceive, develop, and implement innovative procedures/ methods to increase managerial effectiveness; 4) Researching and analyzing data and information using Navy ERP and various Business Logistics Applications and reporting them to decision makers with recommendations. Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
Successful completion of a master's or equivalent graduate degree
OR
Successful completion of two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree
OR
