You will serve as a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the LOGISTICS DIVISION, LOGISTICS AND FACILITIES DIRECTORATE of US FLEET CYBER COMMAND. This position is a DoD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 U.S.C. 1599f.

Duties

You will conduct comprehensive and complex logistics support analyses to identify logistics services and material essential to support Pacific theater classified activities on a continuing basis and at forward operating locations. You will contribute to operational planning by advising on the feasibility of providing logistical support for proposed operational strategies and proposing alternative courses of action to manage risk. You will prepare and implement short-to-long range plans to obtain essential cyberspace equipment and services to address validated logistics requirements. You will document requirements and findings, including life cycle costs, specialized technical support, performance-based logistics and spares/supplies. You will draw on established and approved logistics plans and logistics support agreements and conduct scenario-specific analyses to confirm in-place plans and resources are adequate to support operational requirements. You will identify additional and/or new logistics support requirements and devise innovative approaches to obtain and make them available to facilitate teams’ highly technical computing activities, including deployments. You will provide real-time logistical support throughout the course of teams’ high-visibility and operationally urgent activities to assure they have access to essential support services and material. You will advise logistics planners from external organizations on interpretation/application of governing policies, processes, and lessons learned to facilitate effective joint/interagency actions.

  • You must successfully complete a Counterintelligence (CI) polygraph with No Deception Indicated (NDI).
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a U.S. Passport.

Qualifications

Applicant must have directly applicable experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Qualifying experience may have been acquired in any public or private sector job, but will clearly demonstrate past experience in the application of the particular competencies or knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position. Such experience is typically in or directly related to the work of the position to be filled. Qualifying experience would be demonstrated by: -Experience developing, performing, and leading logistics management programs and actions. -Experience coordinating with leaders to devise logistics strategies and programs that can be easily facilitated to operations. -Experience contributing to the development of new and improved methods, approaches, and procedures. -Experience exercising informed judgement to advise leaders on how to optimize operations within logistics constraints. This position is within the Work Category PROFESSIONAL at Work Level SENIOR, Series and Grade GG-0346-13.
