About the Position: Located at III CORPS SENIOR CDR AUG, Fort Cavazos, Texas.

Duties

Plans, develops, directs, and administers a comprehensive Civilian and Military HR management program within the III Armored Corps. Directs the daily operations of the G1 program with significant resources. Assigns work to subordinates based on priorities, difficulty of assignments, and the capabilities of employees. Exercises personnel management responsibilities for the G-1 staff. Through a subordinate staff, provides expert technical oversight, assigns, directs, and evaluates the work of the organization.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Secret Security Clarance .
  • A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which Includes experience assisting customers, management, and/or Executives on a wide range of principles, practices, and advisory services related to a Civilian Human Resources specialization such as, but not limited to, HR systems, classification, recruitment, organizational development, performance management and employee labor relations. Experience conducting research and fact-finding for a variety of recruitment and staffing analytical studies and projects; experience using data results to make recommendations and support actions to management and executives. Experience providing advice on a variety of military personnel issues such as but not limited to; applying military human resources practices, laws, regulations, and policies; providing clear and concise written communication on military personnel functions; and analyzing military personnel assignments. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS14). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: ComplianceOral CommunicationPlanning and Evaluating Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13).
