This position is located in the Branch of Building & Grounds of the Crow Service Unit, Crow Agency, Montana. The primary duties of this position are to perform a variety of duties associated with the operation of high pressure steam boilers and major air condition systems in the Crow/Northern Cheyenne Hospital and Support Services buildings. This position does require scheduled and un-scheduled Call-Back, alone or to assist, in response to urgent repairs or alarms.
Duties
Boiler Plant Operator -Independently starts, operators, adjusts, maintains, and performs various operational repairs on multiple fuel powered, high pressure steam boilers and Chilled water equipment for the Hospital and Support Services buildings.
Boiler Plant Equipment Mechanic Independently starts, operators, adjusts, maintains, and performs various operational repairs on multiple fuel powered, high pressure steam boilers and Chilled water equipment for the Hospital and Support Services buildings.
Preventive Maintenance Performance standard operator preventive and operational maintenance on boiler and HVAC equipment and machinery in the Hospital and Support Services buildings. Performs scheduled and emergency maintenance and repairs of limited to moderate complexity in mechanical parts and systems, and performs basic electrical repairs. Makes manual and mechanical checks.
Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Equipment Repairer-Operator Operates, maintains, modifies, repairs, and troubleshoots refrigeration and air conditioning equipment including chillers for the Hospital and Support Services buildings. Monitors electric and electrical controls including microcomputer control equipment that operates standard electric driven compressors, circulating pumps, steam humidifiers, emergency power generators and auxiliary equipment.
Pipe Fitter Installs, repairs, maintains, and/or replaces regular and high pressure piping systems for power boiler, major air conditioning systems, and medical gas/air systems for the Hospital and Support Services buildings.
Integrated Building Automation System Operation (BAS) Operates Metasys, the environmental monitoring and control system console, and its major components including devices such as a digital computer/monitor, printer, and computer generated graphics, and surveillance, high and low pressure steam boilers and distribution systems; chilled water plants; and facility environmental systems including heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems in the Hospital and Support Services buildings.
