This position is located in Field Operations Directorate, Office of Field Operations, District 41, DISTRICT 41. As an Operations Support Specialist, you will provide a variety of management services essential to ensure the safety and efficiency of facility and emergency management.

Duties

Coordinate and develop projects relating to building facilities including access, safety, building modifications, repairs and alterations. Serve as point of contact for building issues and facility requirements. Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to identify mission requirements during response and recovery efforts. Manage emergency planning procedures related to the Continuity of Operations Plan (COOP). Analyze and interpret complex issues and policies to guide and coordinate effective disaster response and recovery activities.

Qualifications

The qualifications for this position must be met by 11:59 PM (Eastern Time) on 05/03/2024. Current Federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the lower grade or equivalent grade band in the Federal service. The Time-in-Grade requirement must be met by 11:59 PM (Eastern Time) on 05/03/2024. GS-13: You qualify at the GS-13 level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience, which is equivalent to at least the GS-12 level in the federal government, that equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. You must have experience performing the following duties: Coordinating, supporting, supporting, leading, and monitoring projects related to space procurement and maintenance. Applying and modifying, if necessary, established practices to specific problems related to building, office, and space management, including how to treat unusual circumstances of situations. Perform and provides advice as a Subject Matter Expert on a variety of Emergency Management (EM) issues to include the development and maintenance of EM related plans, and procedures. Develop and evaluate office Emergency Management plans and exercises.
