You will serve as a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the CENTRALIZED COORDINATION OFFICE, BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT DIVISION of FLEET READINESS CENTER SOUTHWEST.
Duties
You will identify the specific requirements for money, manpower, materiel, facilities, and services needed to support the program.
You will correlate those requirements with program plans to assure that the needed support is provided at the right time and place.
You will coordinate and evaluate the efforts of functional specialists to identify specific requirements and to develop and adjust plans and schedules for the actions needed to meet each requirement on time.
You will integrate the separate functions in planning or implement a logistics management program.
Requirements

- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
GS-09
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1.) Assists higher graded specialists in Integrated Product Support (IPS) planning by gathering facts, defining problems, and planning and developing milestone and performance criteria for assigned items and/or services. 2.) Prepares, or assists in preparing, IPS documentation to include statements of work, material fielding, basis of issue feeder plans, provisioning plans, and other similar or related documentation.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1.) Participates in developing segments of the Integrated Product Support (IPS) planning involving all phases of life cycle management, e.g., from conception, design, and development through production and deployment to final disposition, for assigned items and/or services. Compiles information, defines problems, and proposed alternative solutions to issues addressed in IPS plans. 2.) Researches and evaluates logistics support concepts for portions of different projects. 3.) Receives advanced training and developmental assignments.
