As a Building Manager, you will provide occupants of both Federal Government buildings and privately leased space with safe, secure, clean, and sustainable facilities in which to conduct agency business, and may specialize in one or more program areas.
Location of position: GSA, Public Buildings Service, Service Centers Division, Champlain, NY
We are currently filling one vacancy, but additional vacancies may be filled as needed.
Duties
Develops and promotes positive working relationships with customer agencies and client personnel, and maintains continuous liaison with building tenants and top management officials of customer agencies and tenants at facilities managed.
Evaluates any proposed contract changes and makes recommendations to the Contracting Officer regarding changes in scope of performance standards to improve service delivery and meet customers’ needs, or changes in the site conditions; performs final inspection of completed work against contract requirements and approves or rejects the final product in whole or in part.

The GS-12 salary range starts at $86,962 per year. If you are a new federal employee, your starting salary will likely be set at the Step 1 of the grade for which you are selected.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:
To qualify, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level or higher in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as implementing programs related to the operation and maintenance of small to medium-size (e.g. 200K to 500K sq ft), multi-level, commercial buildings (or equivalent non-housing small to medium-size office buildings) and leased space; analyzing the effectiveness and efficiency of building operations, automated systems, and mechanical equipment; interacting with customers and stakeholders regarding building services in order to assess their needs and recommend solutions; and assisting with managing or monitoring real property budgetary and financial data.
