About the position: This position will be assigned to the 47th Force Support Squadron, located at Outdoor Recreation, Laughlin AFB, Del Rio, Texas. This position is Flexible, guaranteed a minimum of 0 hours but can work up to a maximum of 40 hours per week. May include nights, weekends and holidays. As a flexible employee, you are not eligible for leave or benefits.

Duties

Performs and assists in the operation and administrative support for ODR activities to include base FAMCAMP and Pool. Types of duties include, but are not limited to the following: Rents, demonstrates the use of and maintains recreation equipment. Checks all equipment prior to and after rental, and completes paperwork. Takes inventory on equipment, schedules repairs as needed and establishes a preventive maintenance program. Accepts reservations for the equipment rental. Prepares and posts publicity materials for special rental items and rates. Completes daily CRs and bank deposits. Collects fees through cash, check, or credit card. Maintains a system of accountability including inventory, security, and administrative controls for the recreation supply operation. Provides clerical support, which includes purchasing, procuring, and contracting. Maintains files and uses word processing software to produce a variety of documents and maintains records. Requirements

  • This position requires the incumbent to complete a background investigation with favorable results.
  • This position requires shift work to provide coverage on evenings, weekends, holidays, or special situations.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Applicants must have experience which provided a working familiarity with the routines and procedures followed in group activities or programs; and practical knowledge and/or experience of recreational areas serviced. Applicant must also have experience in clerical office or retail sales work of any kind. Skills in dealing with the public. Ability to communicate orally. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:

Education

FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying.
