This position is located in the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), Office of Justice Programs (OJP), Office of Communications (OCOM). The incumbent facilitates the accomplishment of OCOM's mission by providing internal office support through a wide range of administrative and program support duties. This includes, but is not limited to, answering telephones, responding to inquiries in writing and verbally, formulating, recommending, monitoring, and reporting on the Office's budget.

Duties

As a Program Support Specialist, you will be responsible for the following duties: Serves as the organizational liaison with the Office of Administration's Human Resources Division (HRD). Provides assistance to employees by obtaining information or providing HRD contact information to answer questions concerning the various aspects of employment. Maintains data and submits quarterly reports on non-DOJ sponsored conferences requested by the office staff. Ensures that required registration and funding documents are completed in OJP's learning management system, LearnDOJ. Ensures that automated training requests are completed, and invoices are paid in a timely manner. Assists the Office of Administration's Business Resources Division (BRD) with property accountability activities for inventory of expendable and non-expendable property. Serves as purchase cardholder for the organization to purchase supplies or services under authorized dollar threshold. As card holder determines appropriate method for procurement action, makes necessary purchases and records them in the appropriate system. As authorized receiving official ensures that supplies and/or services are received at the quality and quantity requested and that the proper action is taken in the appropriate system of record. Develops administrative policies and procedures that require extensive coordination of property, services, and facilities such as furniture, equipment, telephones, and short-term storage.

Qualifications

Specialized Experience: Applicants must have one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 level. Specialized experience is experience which is in or related to the line of work of the position to be filled and which has equipped the applicant with the specific knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Examples of specialized experience include: Provided internal office support in a wide range of administrative and other duties assigned in administrative management areas. Performed human resources management liaison and advisory services for an organization with human resources issues of a complex or specialized nature. Compiled, reviewed, and/or maintained data in spreadsheets and databases to monitor administrative and financial matters. Performed property accountability and inventory activities for an organization.
