About the Position:
This position will serve as a Training Instructor (AMD/WOES) with the 30th ADA BDE, Fires Center of Excellence (FCoE) located at Fort Sill, Oklahoma.
Duties
Instruct on doctrinal tactics, techniques, and procedures for Army Air and Missile defense systems.
Instruct on how Patriot, THAAD, AN/TPY-2, LTAMDS Missile Defense Battery Radars, Sentinel Radars, and Avenger weapons systems are used in combined Army Air and Missile defense.
Follow the approved programs of instruction (POI) in Training Development Capability (TDC).
Prepare and administer examinations, evaluate test results, correlate test results with other measures of student ability, and provide recommendations to academic deficiency panels on changes and student status.
Analyze training materials to assure instructional techniques are effective and efficient.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- The work of this position requires the incumbent to possess or be able to obtain a SECRET security clearance.
- May be required to work an irregular tour of duty.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Demonstrate teaching experience using knowledge of the doctrinal tactics, techniques, and procedures for Air and Missile Defense systems. 2) Develop training courses for the Air and Missile Defense systems for instructional purposes. AND 3) Provide Air and Missile Defense systems instruction to US and Foreign military officers and warrant officers. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).

Education: Ph. D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as adult education. Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
