About the Position: Red River Army Depot (RRAD) is located in northeast Texas, 19 miles west of Texarkana and approximately 170 miles northeast of Dallas. RRAD is near the corners of 4 states - Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma and Texas. The depot's enormous maintenance mission includes the repair, rebuild, overhaul and conversion of tactical wheeled vehicles. Duties

Perform various tasks associated with the badging system. Require to work with the general public face to face on a daily basis and must be able to function well under pressure and stress. Prepare, confirm, issue, and maintain control and accountability of badge requests or clearances for a temporary/ permanent military, civilian personnel, official visitors, and or contractor employees. Maintain database files on all badges issued and compiles information and statistics for inclusion into a variety of reports. Distribute and balances the workload among the security assistants in accordance with established workflow or job specialization, amend or reject work not meeting established standards, assure timely completion of the assigned workload, and assure that each employee stays in full performance. Provide the essential on the job training to all new security assistances in accordance with the policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain appropriate security clearance for access to Depot Production Computer System.
• This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
• Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315. While probationary the incumbent can be terminated with limited appeal rights.
• This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time.
