About the Position: Serves as program analyst, providing support required in the administration and management of the various aspects of the Operations and Maintenance Program within Operations Division, Hydropower Branch located in Catresville, GA.
Duties
Serves as a Program Analyst with responsibility to support the execution, defense, and budgeting of Civil Works Fiscal Years within specific District Programs or Operations Projects.
Providing support required in the administration and management of the various aspects of the Operations and Maintenance Program
Performs most work allowance transactions for civil works projects
Maintains, monitors, and analyzes data in various financial information databases.
Performs a variety of duties in support of annual drills and processes within the section, including organizing, updating, retrieving and consolidating project
Establishes controls for and monitors funding in close coordination with budget analysts in Resource Management, and proactively completes transactions to ensure project success
Keeps abreast of and advises management and staff of changes affecting functional areas
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Temporary Duty travel of up to 10% is required.
- State issued driver's license is required.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: (1) Gathering financial data from automated databases; (2) Participating in project funding closeouts; (3) Analyzing data to prepare statistical reports; and (4) Monitoring data files for accuracy. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).

Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position such as, Accounting, Management or Business. OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages. Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the second lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).
