This position is located in the Reserve Fleets, Office of Ship Operations, Office of the Deputy Associate Administrator for Federal Sealift, Office of the Associate Administrator for Strategic Sealift, Maritime Administration (MARAD). This position provides river security patrol for fleet operations.

Qualifications
Qualifications for the position are based on the education, training, experience, or other requirements that determine which applicants would be able to perform satisfactorily in the position to be filled.
To qualify for the Wage Grade-09, you must have experience and/or training of sufficient scope and quality to perform the duties of a Small Craft Operator. You must have:
The ability to exercise the safe operation of craft, personnel and material on board.
The ability to operate craft in accordance with United States Coast Guard (USCG) Inland rules, reserve fleet regulations and proper voice radio communication procedures.

Ability to do the work of the position without more than normal supervision.
Ability to interpret instructions.
Ability to operate safely (water craft).
