You will serve as the Lead Counterintelligence Special Agent in the Counterintelligence (CI)/Counterterrorism (CT) Office at the Kennedy Space Center (KSC), Brevard, FL.
Duties
Provides Counterintelligence (CI) and Counterterrorism (CT) support to the Kennedy Space Center (KSC) and NASA to protect people, information, operations, facilities, and research.
Develops and distributes annual Center CI Threat Assessments and other Threat Assessments, CI/CT Executive Briefs, and other threat reporting as required.
Manages and conducts foreign travel CI/CT threat educations and awareness briefings to NASA KSC employees and contractors traveling to “Designated” and/or other high-threat countries.
Responsible for ensuring Center Directors, Center Chiefs of Protective Services/Chiefs of Security, and key program managers are kept apprised of CI/CT national security matters impacting NASA KSC personnel and facilities.
Maintains close liaison with counterpart U.S. Intelligence Community (USIC) agencies such as the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and other intelligence, CI, CT, and security organizations; participates in local FBI CI Task Force.
Manages and conducts CI/CT inquiries, national security investigations, properly documents investigative activity, and coordinates with FBI on all national security matters.
Provides focused CI support to sensitive NASA research and development programs and to leading-edge technologies/capabilities; provide CI/CT education and awareness to entire Center workforce.

Requirements
- Current Federal employees must meet qualifications, time in grade, and 90 days after competitive appointment requirements by the closing date of the announcement.

Qualifications
Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.
To qualify for GS-14, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level:
Conducting national security CI/CT inquiries and investigations to identify and mitigate threats posed by foreign intelligence or terrorist organizations;
Preparing and disseminating comprehensive written CI/CT threat assessments and reports of investigative findings to identify indications of foreign intelligence or foreign terrorism activity;
Developing and presenting CI/CT briefings to audiences of various sizes for education and awareness of foreign intelligence and terrorist organization tactics and techniques.
