You will serve as the Section Head Security Specialist in the Mission Support Division, Code 124200 of NAVAL RESEARCH LABORATORY.
Duties
You will analyze organizational processes to improve program effectiveness.
You will supervise Visitor Control Staff and Operations.
You will advise installation security specialist and agency officials on Personnel Security and suitability requirements.
You will maintain a visitor database by using Microsoft Access and Excel.
You will verify security violations are investigate and reported.
You will adjust procedures as directed to maximize efficiency and adaptability.
Requirements

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-05/10) or pay band (NO-02) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing most or all of the following duties: (1) Assisting in the management and coordination of all aspects of the DEERS RAPIDS system, unclassified Facility Access Determination (FAD) program, and Common Access Card (CAC) office; (2) Filing and updating databases; (3) Checking status of Personnel Security and investigation actions; (4) Reviewing and determining the type of security investigation performed; and (5) Recommending changes to Branch Head on procedures to assure the Visitor Control Center operates the most effective and efficient.

Education

- Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
or
- 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
