About the Position: The position primarily is in the main dining facility at A.T. Augusta Army Medical Center. Two shifts currently 5:00 A.M. to 1:30 P.M. or 10:30 A.M. to 7:00 P.M., placement upon shift will be based on mission needs. The micro location within the department is on the main serving floor at the exit of the serving area. Chairs are typically provided and the position often has periods of sitting.

Duties

Serve as a Lead Cash Clerk for a Nutrition Department within a medical treatment facility (MTF). Follow cash control policies to minimize any risk of safety or security within a MTF. Provide guidance to Cash Clerks assigned to the Nutrition Department within a MTF. Perform various monetary transactions for customers of the facility to include cash, credit, debit and specialty payment methods. Maintain cleanliness and order in the area for the safety and comfort of customers within the dining area. Follow procedures and guidelines set forth by leadership throughout the department and MTF. Identify opportunities for improvement and suggests them to leadership. Maintain professional and hospitable based relations with both internal and external customers.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the incumbent to have tuberculosis testing.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Tier 3 security investigation or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
  • This position has mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirements and is subject to annual seasonal influenza vaccinations unless otherwise exempted for medical or religious reasons.
  • This position may require the incumbent to work on any day or shift, including PMs, nights, weekends, holidays, or on an "on call" basis, necessary to meet mission requirements (work schedule will be 1st and/or 2nd shift).
  • This position has been designated Mission Essential. In the event of severe weather conditions or emergency situations (natural or man-made) the incumbent is required to report as scheduled or remain at work to support mission operations.
  • This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.
  • THIS IS A FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT Level 1 Certified position. Failure to obtain this certification within the required time may subject the incumbent to adverse action.
