You will serve as a Combined Trades Supervisor II in the Production Resources Department of PEARL HARBOR NSY AND IMF.

Duties

You will plan overall work assignments on an immediate and long-range basis in accordance with established schedule requirements. You will ensure plans, blueprints, materials, and tools are available, and needed stock is obtained from supply locations. You will control the work of the lead shops and coordinating the work of the miscellaneous trades that are assigned work within the zone. You will participate in combined nuclear and non-nuclear long-range planning efforts and scheduling development. You will establish, assign, and explain work requirements to subordinate supervisors, setting deadlines, priorities, and sequences to be followed for work operations. You will identify training and qualification needs of subordinates; effects on-the-job training, recommending personnel actions, and enforcing disciplinary actions.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
  • You must be willing and able to accept a temporary promotion not to exceed one year.
  • You must be willing and able to work an uncommon tour of duty (may include weekend, nights, overtime, or holidays).
  • You must be willing and able to work onboard ships.
  • Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs.
