This position is located at Picatinny Arsenal, Picatinny, New Jersey and will provide support to Catering and Conference Operations at The Club at Picatinny. Duties

Supervisor issues instructions on work sequences, procedures, methods, and deadlines, and relies on the incumbent to assure that other members of the group carry out work assignments. Supervisor is available to provide information or decisions regarding problems that may arise during work. Serves as a banquet captain and working leader of 3 or more servers in accomplishing trades and labor work. As banquet captain, incumbent reviews the banquet event ordering requirements between the customer and the hotel. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
• Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
• A one year probationary period may be required.
• Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
• Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2.
• Incumbent may also be required to complete a Tier 1 background investigation for a Common Access Card for physical access to federally controlled facilities.
• Incumbent must be able to lift, carry and balance food, beverage and banqueting items weighing 10 lbs.
• Incumbent must be able to lift up to 40lbs.
• Must be available for rotating shifts, daytime, nights and weekends.
• A pre-employment physical is required.

Qualifications

Six months experience in banqueting. Must be friendly and outgoing. Must work quickly and efficiently in order to serve guests. Experience must be reflected in your RESUME to receive credit.
