This vacancy is for an Investigation and Compliance Specialist (Direct Hire) in the in the Office of Information and Communications Technology and Services (OICTS), Bureau of Industry and Security within the Department of Commerce.

Duties

As an Investigation and Compliance Specialist (Direct Hire), you will perform the following duties: Works with a team of investigators who are responsible for ICTS supply chain investigations. Conducts research, analysis, and interprets data and information. Prepares detailed risk-based assessments or other written analysis. Communicates with senior leadership regarding investigative activities and outcomes. Participates in and help conduct meetings, briefings, and hearings. This Job Opportunity Announcement may be used to fill other Investigation and Compliance Specialist (Direct Hire) GS-1801-12 Full Performance Level (FPL) GS-12 positions within the Department of Commerce in the same geographical location with the same qualifications and specialized experience.

Specialized experience is defined as: Applying a wide range of methods, principles, and practices while conducting inspections, investigations, or reviews; Analyzing various types of data gathered from a variety of sources to identify inconsistencies, anomalies, or noteworthy information; Preparing written investigative reports, risk-based assessments, or written analysis; and Briefing senior management and/or stakeholders regarding investigative activities and outcomes.
